Review gate

Get more 5-star reviews on Google with a review gate.

Instead of sending customers straight to Google, send them to your own review gate page. They tap a star rating first. Happy customers go on to Google, Trustpilot or Yelp, and everyone else tells you privately what went wrong, so you can fix it.

Private feedback

Everyone else tells you what went wrong in your Socialjuice form. It never reaches the public page.

How it works

A page in between your customer and your public reviews

You share one link instead of your Google review link. Socialjuice asks for a star rating first, then sends every customer to the right place.

  1. 1

    Share your review gate link

Send it by email, text or QR code, or put it on your receipts. It replaces your Google review link.

  2. 2

    Customers rate you first

They open your review gate page and tap one to five stars. It takes a second.

  3. 3

    Happy customers go public

Good ratings are sent straight on to Google, Trustpilot, Yelp or any review page you choose.

  4. 4

    Everyone else talks to you

Lower ratings get your Socialjuice form instead, so you hear what went wrong and can fix it.

FAQ

Review gate FAQ

How a review gate works, and what to keep in mind.

What is a review gate?

A review gate is a page that asks customers for a quick star rating before they leave a public review. Customers who give a good rating are sent on to your review page on Google, Trustpilot or another platform. Customers who give a lower rating get a private feedback form instead.

How do I set up a review gate with Socialjuice?

Add the link to your public review page, choose the minimum rating that counts as good, and write the question you want to ask. Then share your review gate link by email, text message or QR code. It takes a couple of minutes.

Which review platforms does it work with?

Any platform with a review link: Google, Trustpilot, Yelp, Facebook, Tripadvisor, G2, Capterra and more.

What happens to lower ratings?

Customers who give a lower rating see your Socialjuice feedback form. Their feedback lands in your dashboard next to your other reviews, so you can follow up and fix the problem.

Is review gating allowed by Google?

Google’s review policy asks businesses not to discourage negative reviews or selectively ask only happy customers for reviews, and Trustpilot and Yelp have similar rules. Check the rules of the platform you link to before you use a review gate with it.

Which plan includes the review gate?

The review gate is included in the Premium plan and above. Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial.
