Troubleshoot an empty or cropped embed

The widget loads but shows no testimonials

1. Open the correct space and confirm the testimonial is Public and not archived.
2. Open the widget settings and review its selection, labels, and other filters. Public status alone does not override a restrictive filter.
3. Save your widget and confirm the page uses that widget’s current code. Check for an old snippet or a different space ID.

Nothing appears or the code is visible as text

Use an HTML or embed block that executes markup, not a text or code-display block. Reopen the saved block and confirm the platform kept the iframe and script tags. Some plans or editor roles remove custom code.

Open the actual staging or published page: editing canvases often do not execute scripts. Check content blockers and your site’s content-security policy if the frame or script is blocked.

The bottom is cropped on mobile

Check the iframe height and its containing section. Wix, Notion, and other platforms can add an outer iframe or block with its own height. Increasing only the inner frame may not change that outer box.

Preserve the dashboard’s resize helper if supplied and supported. Load it once and initialize the intended iframe only after it exists. Notion cannot execute this helper, so resize its block manually.

Video recording does not start

A collection form needs HTTPS and browser permission for the camera and microphone. Keep the embed’s permissions intact and check restrictions from any enclosing iframe or Permissions-Policy header. A testimonial display widget does not need recording permissions.

Open the collection form directly in a new tab. If recording works there, investigate your host page’s embed restrictions and offer that direct link as a fallback.

Contact support with the affected public page URL, your website platform, browser and device, and a screenshot of the issue. Redact private customer data and secrets. Mention whether the embed works in preview, on the published page, or neither.
